Opening December 2025

Tucked into the Arlberg’s most discreet nook and entirely encircled by mountains, Haus Walch is a reimagining of storied elegance and Alpine comfort. After a sensitive 3-year restoration process, we have revived the integrity of this 16th-century chalet. Your days on the slopes of Lech will be interspersed with reading at the fireplace, unwinding in the design-led spa, and experiencing the highest levels of comfort curated by the family behind Almhof Schneider.

The House

The chalet offers four en suite bedrooms, a spacious living room, a welcoming dining room, and a library with a fireplace. Guests can also enjoy a private sauna and a practical boot room.

Other Projects

We continue our family’s story in Lech with Hotel Almhof Schneider at its heart, and over the years we’ve grown it into a circle of places that are close to us: Chalet Sonnenhof from 1393, lovingly brought back to life; Haus Walch from 1501, soon to open with its atelier, WERKRAUM ZUG, where artists will live and work; and Hotel Zugerhorn, which will open its doors in 2026. Restaurant Klösterle, once run by Hannelore Schneider and now being refreshed for a new chapter, remains part of this journey too. With KUNSTRAUM ZUG we’ve created a home for exhibitions, and with allmeinde commongrounds a space for conversation, ideas, and exchange.
We continue our family’s story in Lech, with Hotel Almhof Schneider at its heart. Over the years, we have forged a constellation of spaces that remain close to our values. A stone’s throw away from Almhof is our ski-in/ski-out Chalet Sonnenhof, a 1393 farmhouse lovingly brought back to life. Alongside Haus Walch, we’ve established its atelier, WERKRAUM ZUG made for artists in residence who will display their works at KUNSTRAUM ZUG, a home for exhibitions and artistic pursuit. We culminate our vision in allmeinde commongrounds, our, as well as your cultural haven for conversation, ideas and exchange.
